Although Hurricane Hill’s woods are not a part of this book (maybe there will be a Part Two?), we appreciate its lush celebration of the variety of forest landscapes that glorify our planet. Forests that are hard to get to, forests that support wildlife, forests that feed livestock, forests that allow us to walk in silence. All of them deserve our respect and our awe: we are not the only living things that communicate and this book will open your mind to the ways that our trees work in community (often better than we).
